The Umbrella Source Difference
Many companies that make patio umbrellas do so in such large quantities that they can only offer a limited selection of prefabricated umbrellas. They silkscreen and use cheap materials, as a result their customers end up having to replace their umbrellas every year or so. We believe in quality first, with a strong emphasis on providing options and satisfying our customers needs. When you place an umbrella order we build it to your specifications using any of the over 270 high grade Sunbrella® fabrics. We offer fiberglass, aluminum, and solid wood frames. All Sunbrella fabrics come with a 3-5 year warranty against fading or staining -- which makes them the most durable fabrics available on the market today.
What is the difference between a patio umbrella and a market umbrella?
Patio umbrellas have valances on their edges. Valances add a decorative touch that can also be used to display a logo or company slogan. Patio umbrellas are a more economical option for when shade is more important than having a high grade frame.Beach umbrellas are closely related to patio umbrellas as they have valances as well. The diffference is that they feature a spike base for easy mounting into sand.
Market umbrellas do not have valances, however they do feature wind vents that help prevent wind damage. In restaurant, table, or commercial umbrella applications, not having a valance makes it easier to sit under an umbrella at a smaller table. Our market umbrella frames are higher in quality than our patio umbrella frames, which makes them ideal for situations where umbrellas are likely to take more punishment.
