I took this umbrella to the N.C. coast for a week in July and it easily withstood the elements. While other beach umbrellas were twisting and turning inside-out in the stiff wind,, mine stood tall and held its shape while providing shade for everyone in our group. I would recommend this umbrella to anyone.
